Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best known for the roles she played as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She graduated with the B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor also known as producer and director. She works in television and film. Her career began acting in the theatre but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV series, mainstream and independent films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage on stage in The Tempest. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her part in ABC's crime drama High Incident.
